Description
Prestige 7111, "Mal/2" with the Mal Waldron Sextets from the mid-1950s. Mal Waldron, John Coltrane, Idrees Sulieman, Julian Euelll, Sahib Shihab, Ed Thigpen, Jackie McLean, Bill Hardman, and Art Taylor. Original 50th--St. label vinyl play-grades at about VG++ with a few ticks that come and go; there is basically very little background sound. Laminated jacket has solid seams all around except for some laminate cracking at lower center (not yet a seam split); there is little corner wear; the spine is solid and readable with centered print; jacket back is somewhat soiled and age-colored; there is no writing on jacket and there are no bends. Tracks include "The Way You Look Tonight" (featuring Coltrane and Waldron), "From This Moment On" (Sulieman and Euell), "One by One" (Shihab and Thigpen), "Potpourri" (Coltrane and Waldron), "J.M.'s Dream Doll" (McLean and Euell), and "Don't Explain" (Hardman and Taylor).
