Description
Mal Waldron (with Julian Euell, Jackie McLean, Arthur Taylor, Bill Hardman, John Coltrane, Idrees Sulieman) MAL -2 Prestige 7111, recorded 1957. West 50th Street addresses on label and disc. Flat-edge deep groove original. Jacket and disc have been pretty completely worked: Jacket is G+: 3 kinds of ballpointing, much handling, general yellowing with age, and bottom edge cleanly taped. Reid Miles’s front cover image, given all that is relatively clean. Disc looks poor and plays poorly: VG-/G. Heavy play use and scarring. Brilliant sonic audio, just sitting on top of a steady bed of noise.
