Description
For sale is Malo's second album Dos, originally released in 1972 by Warner Brothers Records with a gate-fold presentation along with the original embossed cover. This record is a first pressing with the original green labels that have "Warner Bros. Records" at the top and the "WB" shield logo underneath. These labels were only used on releases between 1970-73. In the dead wax between these labels and the last tracks is etched "1T", followed by the matrix numbers 1-E/1-E, signifying that an early stamper was used to make this record at Columbia Records' pressing plant located in Terre Haute, Indiana. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound quality. I bought this record used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put the album int MFSL archival inner sleeve. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have originally come with the release. There is no original inner sleeve with the listing. The cover is graded as VG because of corner blunts, ring wear, and edge rubs resulting in tears and paper loss on both spines. The spine also has color loss at the corners. The vinyl is visually graded as VG+ because of sleeve marks and surface scratches. I'm play grading this as VG+ because of occasional surface noise, more noticeable during the quiet sections of playback and about 30 seconds of rotational ticking on Side Two. This would be a welcome addition to anyone's collection. I have more Latin albums, as well as records of all genres in my Ebay store. Please take a look. They're predominately Near Mint. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative.
