Description

The Mamas & Papas If You Can Believe Your Eyes And Ears DS-50006
 This auction is for two original 1966 US pressings of The Mamas & Papas' "If You Can Believe Your Eyes And Ears" LP on the Dunhill label. The first copy is an original uncensored "Toilet" cover, showing the offensive porcelain stool in the lower right corner. Copy #2 is the transitional "Boxed" cover artwork which was rush-released to hide the toilet. Subsequent pressings restore the full band photo, but block out the toilet with a song-titles blurb.
"Toilet" Cover: Grading: Sleeve:  VG   Solid, shelf-wear, no splits, legible spine Vinyl:  VG   Sounds great, but has a few scattered light background crackles

"Boxes" Cover: Grading: Sleeve:  VG   Solid, shelf-wear, no splits, legible spine Vinyl:  G   Ok player, but has numerous scuffs

All LPs have been cleaned and will be sent in LP mailers.
