Mamie Van Doren - Untamed Youth

An original 1957 Australian issue 7" soundtrack EP, featuring a young Eddie Cochran on guitar, with the 18 year old Cochran, playing on 3 of the 4 tracks.
In easy VG condition, great shine. small markings of minimal impact to the audio.
The audio is Excellent, with only a couple of microscopic pips preventing a Near Mint audio grade. This is an excellent playing EP
The labels are VG+ Un-punched centre, and "Prep Series" printed just above the song titles.
Unfortunately, the picture sleeve is missing.

Original Australian  EP released in 1957 on HMV Records. Cat # 7EGO-80000.
These songs were recorded at Capitol   studios  (Hollywood,  CA.)  in  December, 1956  and are  different  versions  from  those  used  for  the  film  soundtrack, which were re-arranged by Les Baxter.
Eddie Cochran is present on guitar for 3 of the 4 tracks.

Untamed Youth
Untamed Youth is a 1957 American drama film starring Mamie Van Doren & Eddie Cochran and released by Warner Bros.
A youth prison farm, where the inmates jitterbug to the 1950s rock n roll beat! Two cute kittens get tossed in the slammer for skinny dipping. It turns out that the prison farm is a front for a cotton-picking operation. When a girl is overworked, has a miscarriage, and dies, the teenage inmates revolt!
