Description

 Very rare and and hard to find Blues lp honoring WC Handy on Cub records (8002) called The Blues Mamie Webster Sings W.C. Handy by a singer using the name Mamie Webster but my ears and a little research reveal that this is none other than Blues Singer Big Maybelle using a pseudonym probably due to her current contract with Savoy Records at the time. The band personal is unkown but this is a super album, the music is great and the tunes are:

St. Louis Blues, Basement Blues, Beale Street Blues, Careless Love Memphis Blues, Hesitating Blues, Ole Miss Blues, Joe Turner Blues, Yellow Dog Blues, Friendless Blues, Way Down South Where The Blues Began, Harlem Blues

The LP is very rare and books for over $150 (look it up) and I am looking for serious bidders only. Please do not make me regret not putting a reserve on this gem. Now for the vinyl and cover. LP has glossy vinyl and a few light surface marks due to this being a lp from 1958 which makes it 51 years old. Mono pressing with Deep Groove and E8002 stamped in the dead wax. Light surface noise on a few cuts nothing much and does not take away from this very rare treat of Blues singing. Serious bidders only please.
