Description

MAMIE WEBSTER: “W.C. Handy--The Blues As Sung by Mamie Webster”. A terrific LP on Cub 8002 from 1959. Mamie Webster is actually “Big Maybelle” and is a terrific blues shouter. I don’t know who the band is, but they are really hot too.

Fabulous album with vinyl in VG++ condition, very little surface noise. Cover is VG with no split seems and little wear, but it does have slight stains on the back. This is a hard to find LP and a joy to any blues or jazz fan.

Tracks: St. Louis Blues, Basement Blues, Beale Street Blues, Careless Love Memphis Blues, Hesitating Blues, Ole Miss Blues, Joe Turner Blues, Yellow Dog Blues, Friendless Blues, Way Down South Where The Blues Began, Harlem Blues.
