Info´s The Mandrake Memorial was a psychedelic progressive-rock quartet which helped pioneer the use of electronics in rock music. This is an exact repro of their self-titled debut from 1968 and it concentrates on the bands song-writing skills within ten group compositions. These songs are strange ethereal psych explorations with haunting vocals, harpsichord like keyboards and tight arrangements and they sound like nothing else made by any other band. One of the first band to use synthesisers on a regular basis, they even blew The Doors off stage at one memorable gig!
