This legendary Afro-Cuban master percussionist Lázaro Plá, better known as "Manteca", Lazaro (R.I.P), known as "Manteca" to all the Cubans, was one of the best bongoseros from Cuba.His background goes back to the early days when he was the bongo player for the great Cuban pianist and composer Ernesto Lecuona and the international famous Lecuona Cuban Boys Orchestra.
