The Marbles                        "Marbles"

This is a US vinyl Test Pressing on Cotillion SD 8029 from 1970.           It comes in a plain white cover with all info hand written on the front.      The record comes out of the top of the cover.     The labels are Presswell Records with hand written numbers.
"The Marbles" were a pop rock duo from Australia and England : Graham Bonnet and Trevor Gordon.    This was their only album.    They had one hit : "Only One Woman", which reached # 5 In the UK.        Graham Bonnet later joined Rainbow (w/Ritchie Blackmore of Deep Purple), The Michael Schenker Group, and Alcatrazz ( w/Steve Vai).         He released four singles on Ring O Records.        This album was produced by The Robert Stigwood Organization.      Five of the songs were written by The Bee Gees.   
Test pressings are the earliest pressing of an album.       It is for the artists, producer, and other technical staff to approve the pressing quality.      It is made before the cover and labels have been printed.     Test pressings are always rare.
The matrix numbers are hand etched : Side 1 : CTN-13405-A  W  JCE   AT over DK.      and Side 2 :  CTN-13406-A   W   JCE   DK over AT.
The songs are : I Can't See Nobody, A House Is Not A Home, Storybook Children, Daytime, By The Light Of The Burning Candle, Stay With Me Baby, Only One Woman, To Love Somebody, Breaking Up Is Hard To Do, Elizabeth Johnson, Little Laughing Girl, and The Walls Fell Down.

The cover is M-.      There is light wear and all of the info is written on the front.        The vinyl looks near mint and it plays near mint.       The labels are clean with no spindle marks.    The record comes in a plain white inner sleeve.

Packaging :
I take great care on every package and I do each one personally.    I will package this record between two pieces of hand cut cardboard.   Each piece is 1/2 inch thick, triple strength industrial cardboard.      I always remove the record from the cover and seal them in a plastic sleeve.     The package will be marked in red : 'Fragile Record' on both sides.
