Description
A very very rare Marc Bolan 1967 Acetate of "The Lilac Hand Of Menthol Dan". This disc used to belong to Malcolm Jones (manager of FLY Records). It was passed on to me by a close personal friend of his, who inherited Malcolm's archive when he passed away. This disc is so rare I don't think another will ever come up for sale. I certainly only know of 1 other in an avid Bolan collector's record collection. The disc is in excellent condition without scratches and scuffs. In fact it looks unplayed. It has never had a label like all of Malcolm's early Bolan acetates. It simply has "Dan #2 Keep" in Malcolm's hand in pencil on the plain sleeve, and a figure 1 in wax crayon on the "Dan" side of the disc. It is one sided with the other side being completely blank. It obviously comes from the Simon Napier-Bell period of Marc's career, with John's Children providing the backing track for this solo project. He would form Tyrannosaurus Rex and then T Rex after this period. It will be sent out special next day delivery insured, to the U.K. Buyers overseas will have to email me first about postage.
