On offer here is a very rare box set by Marc Bolan & T. Rex

Title - 'T. Rex Tribute'

There is no information as to the label or release date but matrix numbers read MARC 1 / MARC 2 / MARC 3 / MARC 4 and the set was 'Made In London'

This set contains rare Marc Bolan material spanning his whole career. It includes items culled from various sources including demos / live tracks / UK and USA radio broadcasts / interviews / rehearsal out takes / mono mixes / BBC archive recordings / fan club recordings / live unreleased extended versions / duet with Cilla Black / spoken intro by John Peel / death notice from radio / tribute from Steve Harley / Marc's movie audition.

The set appears to have been compiled by an extremely knowledgeable and technically brilliant Marc Bolan fan as a tribute following the singer's death. I am not a T. Rex expert but am sure that this will be a prized addition to any real fan's collection considering the amount of rare material contained within the 8 sides.

The track listing does not give sources or dates for individual tracks so I am unable to say where and when these recordings originate from but feel sure that true Marc Bolan fans will be able to pinpoint the source from the listing which follows. Feel free to email with questions but please do not expect a date/source for individual tracks as I simply am not qualified to verify these! Thanks in advance.

We do not over-grade items!- guaranteed!

Vinyl - 3 LP's are in Excellent condition. No hops, skips or jumps. LP 4 has a few light scuff marks but absolutely no deep scratches! Plays extremely well throughout the entire set. Due to the nature of the sources of these tracks there is a bit of variation in volume and a bit of background hiss on some tracks but nothing really drastic!! I played all sides briefly and did not find any major defects anywhere.

Labels are clean - no unwanted writing - no heavy spindle wear. LP 1 label is white - LP 2 label is red - LP 3 label is blue - LP 4 label is white.

All LP's come in a plain black card box which only has a small split at one corner. The item comes with a pink photo wraparound sheet giving tracklisting - this is in Excellent condition with no writing  but has a split near top folding edge - again nothing too drastic and should be easily repaired by someone better qualified than I am!

There you have it  - 67 tracks in total - obviously a highly desireable Marc Bolan item. There can't be many of these around anywhere but I have given a low starting price with no reserve to give lots of fans an equal chance. Best of luck!!
