Description
Marc Brierley's second CBS album Hello is starting to get as hard to find as his first Welcome to the Citadel. It's a wonderful slice of late Sixties folk rock with clear acid/psych overtones and has stood the test of time very well.
This copy is a good listen for most part, though it does have its issues – hence the ultra realistic start price.
The gatefold sleeve has damage and wear to the spine but still holds together (see photo). The rest of the sleeve has edge and corner wear but is not too bad, and the inner envelope that houses the vinyl is fine.
The vinyl itself would benefit from a deep clean, but visually looks pretty decent. There are one or two marks and hairlines but nothing feelable. It plays VG+ for the most part with some reasonably low level surface noise only noticeable in particularly quiet passages. There is however, one brief skip on Side 2 track 2. A thorough groove clean could resolve this.
The orange CBS labels are excellent.
