Here's a copy of Marc Brierley's stunning and much sought-after 1968 acid-folk-prog-rock classic Welcome to the Citadel.
The pics in the listing are scans of the actual copy. I'll take more of the labels and add more detailed description of the condition later, but I just wanted to get this listing up and running before it was too late.

I hate grading records, especially ones that are this rare, because my version of VG etc might be different from someone else's. Still, I have some audio samples available that I can try to pass on so that you can hear it before committing. Not sure how we'd do that, because ebay doesn't like links in listings or messages, but we'll find a way. Rest assured I want you to know what you'd be getting before parting with your hard earned cash.

Apologies to anyone watching/bidding on the previous attempt to list this - in my rush to get it listed, I got the artist's name wrong. I put Mark instead of Marc - doh! Relisting with correct info. Still more condition details and additional photos to follow. Let's try again...
First up, the bad news: the record has been well played, has some marks and light scratches, and light crackle is audible throughout the quieter parts and in the track divisions. The sleeve is worn, although not too badly. The laminate is still there, and the worst part is the corner crease (see pics). Rear is a bit discoloured.
That said, I've just listened to the whole album on headphones in a quiet room at fairly high volume, and with the treble set quite high. The music is brilliant. The sound is rich and full, and the stereo separation is excellent. I've got plenty of far newer records that sound far worse than this. Yes, there's some crackle, but on the busier full-band tracks, it's not really audible. There are occasional and isolated clicks, but none are repetitive (the kind you get from deep scratches); I couldn't hear any pops, and there are definitely no jumps/skips/sticks. Labels are in good condition, with just a few spindle marks.
Side A: crackle is worst at the start of A1 and the end of A7, during the fade-out, where there's the only section of repetitive noise. No audible clicks (what is a click? Subjective, I know, but for me it's sharper and louder than crackle, but not as obtrusive as a pop), no pops. A2, A4, A6 are louder tracks and crackle is only audible - if at all - during the intros, fade-outs, and occasional quiet bits where the band drops out briefly.
Side B: first bits that I'd risk calling clicks appear on B2. But they're isolated, non-repetitive, and don't bother me on listening. Same with B5. B7 has a bit more crackle on the quiet intro, and the quiet fade-out. Other than that, it's not too obtrusive, and as with side A, the full band tracks sound good to me, with light crackle only really audible on intros, outros and quiet sections.
I obviously can't tell whether you'd find the surface noise obtrusive, so all I can do is describe it as best I can and let you be the judge. I didn't find it bothersome, although obviously it'd be better if it wasn't there and sounded as new. I listen to a lot of music on vinyl, and I have far worse than this.
