MEGA RARE ORIGINAL BRAZILIAN PRESSING of MPB legend Marcos Valle's superb 1972 album Vento Sul! I am very proud to be offering one of these up for sale - I doubt I will find another, especially in the condition this is in! Marcos Valle was very popular in Brazil in the 60s but his early 70s albums, as great as they are, did not sell well at the time. Of course, now they have the recognition they deserve - excellent reissue label Light In The Attic reissued this album last year and since then an interest in his albums has risen a lot!! I have been a fan of Valle for years and always felt this album was often forgotten as it was sandwiched between two other epic albums - his self-titled 1970 album and 1973's Previsao Do Tempo (which I also have up for sale). Since the LITA reissue this album finally has the recognition is deserves - it truly is a masterpiece. Musically, it is as good as it gets - it's funky, fuzzy, jazzy, has lots of psych and bossa elements - Brazilian music at its best! I must stress that this is NOT A REISSUE - THIS IS A 100% GENUINE FIRST PRESSING FROM 1972 in the 'sandwiched' plastic perforated sleeve with the impossibly rare lyric booklet (which is pretty much always missing)!! This is an ideal one for any serious collector of Brazilian music - I myself have been collecting Brazilian music for many years and this is definitely one of the more elusive albums from the early 70s - and this is also the best example I have ever seen! I guarantee you will NEVER find another in such nice shape! THIS IS IN DREAM CONDITION AND IS ONE FOR THE ARCHIVE!! You will be not be disappointed! Don't miss out!

Vinyl is in EX+ condition : in lovely shape, a few light pressing marks are 'under the grooves' and do not sound (very common with Brazilian pressings), looks and sounds great overall - you will not find a nicer example!!

Sandwich-style poly bag sleeve is in EX(+) condition : a superb example - Brazilian Odeon pressings came in this sleeve design until 1972, a pretty good idea for preserving the sleeve itself - two sheets of card were sealed inside a poly bag - these are often damaged and torn and have survived the years well - this one is almost good as new - all completely intact, the perforated edges are just a little grubby - you will not find a nicer example!!

Lyric booklet is in EX condition : in lovely shape, light handling creases, the best one I have ever seen - you will not find a nicer example!!
