MARION BROWN/ELLIOTT SCHWARTZ - SOUNDWAYS LP Bowdoin College Music Press/Century Records, 1973
Private press edition of collaborative improv concert given by Marion Brown (sideman for John Coltrane, Archie Shepp and others) and composer Elliott Schwartz in February 1973, when both were music professors at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine.
Marion plays Alto Sax, Clarinet, Piano and Percussion, while Schwartz plays Piano, ARP Synth, Percussion and Miscellaneous Instruments.
These tracks later included on Marion Brown's Duets 2LP for Arista in 1975. But this is the ultra rare private press edition!
Vinyl is VG+, very clean and unmarked, very light surface noise occasionally audible during minimal moments. Pen mark intitials on both labels.
Cover is VG, some ring wear on front, small spine split at bottom and seam split at top. Generally strong and sturdy.
Comes wrapped in bubble wrap in LP mailer. Postage $9 within Australia, $20 internationally (can do registered post for extra charge)
