This auction is for three Mark Kozelek pieces:

1. Sealed 4-LP, black vinyl box set (limited to 1,000 copies pressed) of two live albums: White Christmas & Little Drummer Boy Live
2. Poster signed by Mark Kozelek that only came with direct orders from Aural Exploits in 2007
3. Original 2001 sealed CD of "White Christmas Live" from Sub Pop (limited edition of 5,000 made)

First, let me say I am a huge Mark Kozelek fan and have been listening to him for years. I purchased a few copies of "White Christmas Live" when Sub Pop first released the CD (online orders only) back in 2001. I gave out a couple as x-mas gifts only to find a friend of mine never opened the CD (and thus never appreciated the gift), so I took it back from her. As such, I'm including it here with the 4-LP set I purchased from Aural Exploits back in 2007.

Aural Exploits was the only distributor you could snag these 4-LP box sets when the release first came out (see picture of original box above). If you purchased the 4-LP black vinyl version, they included a signed poster with the box set. The signed poster included here is in the exact condition as it was the day it arrived over ten years ago. The poster is folded in half and has some minor wrinkles in the upper left corner and around the fold on the right side. Regardless, it is signed by Mark Kozelek himself.

Here is the original press release for this vinyl box set (as quoted from Cameron Crowe's website "the uncool"): "Vinyl Films Records and Caldo Verde Records are proud to announce the vinyl debut of Mark Kozelek’s two limited edition live albums, White Christmas Live and Little Drummer Boy Live. The former, released in 2001 in a limited pressing of 5,000 CDs, contains such Red House Painters classics as “Things Mean a Lot” and “Cruiser” along with AC/DC covers “What’s Next to the Moon” and “Up to My Neck in You.” Little Drummer Boy Live, released in 2006, marries such Sun Kil Moon greats as “Salvador Sanchez” and “Carry Me Ohio” with Modest Mouse covers “Tiny Cities” and “Trucker’s Atlas,” as well as the previously unreleased “Moorestown” and “Unlit Hallway.” Both releases are now compiled in one 4-LP boxed set, with the box including the vinyl-only bonus track “Have You Forgotten.” White Christmas Live has been long out of print on CD, and Little Drummer Boy Live is rapidly on its way as well. Now, you can have both in this impressive vinyl box set! The release will be limited to 1,000 copies on black vinyl. An ultra-limited tour/internet-only pressing of 300 copies on white vinyl will also be available at Mark Kozelek live shows this fall."

As for the CD, here is the Sup Pop press release: "Sub Pop Records is proud to offer a direct and web-only release for the United States. This is a limited edition live album by Red House Painters main man Mark Kozelek, recorded during the holidays last year in Scandinavia. Included here are versions of Red House Painters classics, the requisite AC/DC covers, and a typically Koz version of the holiday classic White Christmas. This release is pressed in an extremely limited edition of 5000 and will be available for only a fleeting instant. Bonus track of an unreleased song included."

So, in short, you are buying the limited edition 4-LP black vinyl box set WITH the first edition Sub Pop CD and a signed poster.
