Marlene Dietrich 1973 concert memorbilia signed photo booklet with Columbia 45 record
There are twelve (12) photos in this listing All can be enlarged Marlene Dietrich memorabilia Circle Star Theatre March 23 1973 Signed booklet containing 18 black and white photos from various films and five from the concert Three ticket stubs, dated from the Circle Star Theatre are attached to the last page. A Columbia 45 record by Ms. Dietrich of "WHERE HAVE ALL THE FLOWERS GONE" backed by "GO' WAY FROM MY WINDOW" in it's original Columbia sleeve is attached to the inside frontispiece. There are no flaws to the record, lots of groove and great sound. The booklet shows some paper loss to corners and a few small white specks here and there. There is very light tanning to white pages. All photos are in excellent black and white condition, bright and clear. All twelve photos can be enlarged to see detail ~ Thank you Wikipedia for the following:
The Circle Star Theatre was a performing arts venue in San Carlos, San Mateo, California. Its name is based on it being a theatre in the round, featuring a rotating circular stage with none of its 3,743 seats further than 50 feet (15 m) from the stage. Unlike similar venues across the United States, the Circle Star Theatre stage had the ability to rotate in either direction without limit, thanks to the slip ring and brush system that supplied electrical power and lighting signals to it.
The theatre's address was 2 Circle Star Way, San Carlos, CA 94070.
Its original concept when it opened in the early 1960s was a dinner theater similar to the Hyatt House Theatre in nearby Burlingame. Lewis & Dare productions hosted many Broadway touring shows, such as The Odd Couple, with Ernest Borgnine and Don Rickles.
In 1971, the theatre was purchased by Marquee Entertainment, run by Don Medelvine of the famed Chicago nightclub Chez Paree Marquee Entertainment booked Las Vegas acts such as Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Dean Martin, and Liberace, among many others. In the mid-1970s the theatre was kept solvent by booking Motown acts to increase its diversity.
