Martha and The Vandellas - Dance Party (Tamla Motown 1965 mono, UK)
Decent playing copy of this 1965 Motown classic - Martha and The Vandellas' Dance Party featuring the massive hits Dancing in the street and Nowhere to run.
This is the UK mono 1st pressing and it's really survived the last 60 years pretty well.
The front laminated flipback sleeve has some minor edge creases and a little general wear to the back cover, but it easily grades VG+ or better.
The vinyl has marks and hairlines but none of these are feelable, and it plays through well with only occasional surface noise, noticeable mainly on runout. No jumps or sticks. I would grade it conservatively at VG+ and it's an enjoyable listen.
The black and silver Motown labels are in fine shape, just a touch of spindle wear on Side 2 – they are close to Excellent.
The plain white lined paper inner sleeve is in nice condition with no seam splits and grades VG++.
Overall a really decent playing copy of an increasingly hard to find soul classic.
