Description
This auction is for an exceptionally rare Cleaners From Venus “Don’t Step On My Rainbow - 20 Songs (1980-1996)” 7” vinyl box set, originally issued by Jarmusic in 1996 (catalogue number JAR012) – these don’t come up for auction very often these days!
This copy is hand-numbered inside as 38/200 (signed by Joachim who used to run Jarmusic). It is stamped with the Jarmusic contact details. The outer box also has a CFV sticker with small images and release title on.
Inside the box are five 7” singles – four of these are pressed on red vinyl and housed in identical sleeves (each with a printed number) and one is on multi-coloured vinyl which is housed in a clear plastic sleeve.
The box also includes
- a stapled 4 page 7” sized booklet on card – each page double-sided with lots of info about the tracks + comments from Martin Newell
- a linocut by James Dodds
- a postcard of 'The Waterfront' in Wivenhoe
- a colour photo of Martin Newell
The rarities included are mainly from their early cassette only releases + live tracks from 1994-1996. Tracklisting as follows:
