This is a remarkable find for any country music collector: an original 1959 mono pressing of Marty Robbins’ legendary album, "Gunfighter Ballads and Trail Songs". This copy features the iconic Columbia "6-Eye" red and black label, which distinguishes it as an early first pressing. This album contains the definitive versions of western classics like "Big Iron" and the full-length rare version of "El Paso".
Condition Details:
• Vinyl: The record retains a high gloss with very clean labels. There are only minor surface marks visible under direct light, consistent with light play.
• Cover: A true collector’s highlight—this jacket is still in its original factory shrink wrap (opened at the side for play). It features a vintage price sticker from the original retailer. The shrink has protected the vibrant red color of the "quick draw" cover art from the typical fading and ring wear found on most copies.
• Authenticity: The label includes the "6-Eye" logo and the "Lp" branding at the bottom, confirming its 1959/1960 origin.
