Description

An original 1st press of GET IT ON! on UK Tamla from summer '73. Matrix A1/B1. Note the labels mention 'Gramophone' in perimeter text - a requirement for 1st pressing. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover with sealed left side forming a nice solid opening panel.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In marvellous condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of lightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Beautifully quiet intros and inbetweens and the audio coms across with superb clarity. Smooth as it gets... this badboy delivers in ALL the right areas. WARMTH DETAIL and great INSIGHT. Literally it is the full package. Plays clean as a whistle throughout. Even the lowkey fussy 'Satisfied' plays perfect - and I'm not sure I've witnessed that before. A couple of crackles in a couple of isolated spots per side. FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex) In beautiful condition with excellent colour retention. Surfaces front and back are smooth, flat, and uncreased. All I can spot is a tiny blemish at Marv's chin on the front. The interior is immaculate. Edge wear is incredibly slight and the text on the spine fully legible with minimal wear. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
