This 1982 Columbia Records vinyl LP features Marvin Gaye's celebrated album "Midnight Love," a pivotal release in his career that marked a successful comeback with an innovative blend of soul, funk, and electronic instrumentation. This 12-inch  pressing includes timeless tracks such as the groundbreaking hit "Sexual Healing," "Midnight Lady," and "Rockin' After Midnight," showcasing Gaye's smooth vocals and the sophisticated production work of Harvey Fuqua. The album was recorded and mixed at Studio Katy in Ohaine, Belgium, and features a rich array of instrumentation including synthesizers, bongos, and guitar, with horn arrangements conducted by McKinley T. Jackson. The pressing is the original 1982 release on Columbia, identifiable by its red and yellow label and catalog number FC 38197.
