The beating heart of the 70s African American culture coming out of the civil rights era is laid bare. And, it’s captured with a genuine musical genius.
The production of this album has always been lauded as exceptional. And the vocals and instrumental backing work together to form something of legend. I am in awe of this album, and this specific pressing is beyond anything I’ve ever heard from this genre. Simply jaw dropping.
