Description
It Takes Two is a duet album by the American soul singers and Motown Records label mates. It was released on the Tamla Records label in August 1966. The self-titled single was a #5 R&B and Top Twenty hit on Billboard’s Hot 100 Singles chart. Shortly after its release Weston left Motown in a dispute over royalties. Ironically, Mary Wells also left Motown after recording a duet album with Gaye. His new partner would become Tammi Terrell whom he has several chart successes with.
