Description

Marvin Jenkins "Big City" Palomar (USA) G 24001. Mono.  

Wonderful vocal jazz album by the late songwriter & jazz pianist Marvin Jenkins. Includes four original compositions (including the well-known title track and the charming "Rainy Day in L.A."). The covers are excellent, too; great versions of "Kansas City"; "I'm Always Drunk in San Francisco"; a haunting version of Chuck Berry's "Memphis Tennessee" etc.

An all-around fine record. I'm a little sad to see this one go, but I got a family to feed.

Condition: Cover is Ex (hole punch lower right--otherwise NM). Record is NM. Plays like a dream.
