Four of Mary Millington's dirtiest stories, taken from tapes and flexi-discs originally released in 1978/9, pressed onto vinyl for the first time. Mary ad-libbed these highly graphic (and occasionally very funny) tales, to be edited later by the enigmatic Nigel V in his attic studios in seedy South London.
Includes the following recordings:
Come Play With Me
Lovely Little Tinkle
Mary Goes For a Ride
The Longest Tongue in the World
Also included:
Very scarce, limited chapbook, The Column Inches by Tim Wells, produced on the 35th anniversary of Mary Millington’s death. This was made available by Tangerine Press for a period of two weeks only, in August 2014. Limited to 100 numbered copies only (of which this is number 32), all unsold copies were burnt on evening of August 19th 2014 (the 35th anniversary of Mary Millington’s death).
The book (handsewn; recycled 350gsm Cairn Almond stiff card covers; 110gsm Five Season 100% recycled text paper; 160gsm Canson Mi-Tientes Havanna Brown endpapers; 8 pages; no ISBN) contains three Mary Millington-themed poems, commissioned for the launch of the record listed here.
Mary Millington - glamour model, cover girl, forthright bisexual, hardcore porn actress, the single most famous sex star Britain ever produced (closely followed by Fiona Richmond). Her sex comedy Come Play With Me still holds the record for the longest-ever theatrical engagement in British cinema history (four years at the same cinema). Her final appearance was in the Sex Pistols film Great Rock ‘n’ Roll Swindle, but she didn’t live to see its release in 1980, as her descent through promiscuity, prostitution, crime, drug abuse etc. ended with her suicide in 1979.
