Mascara - See You In L.A. - 1979 - 12" Vinyl LP - ENVY9
Condition: VG+
"See You In L.A." was released in 1989 on Ensign Records. Mascara were the creation of soul legend and Mafia Club DJ Chris Hill (Ensign Label owner), who produced the album with Jurgen S Korduletsch. The LP is now quite rare and highly collectable due to the fact that an uncredited Mr Luther Vandross (who had just finished touring with David Bowie) does vocals on the key cuts. Other vocalists are Ula Hedwig and David Lasley. The style is 70s Soul & Disco. The killer track is "See you in LA"/"Jet plane ride" (the two cuts seamlessly merge into each other), but there's lots of other good stuff on the LP too. Trivia note; one of the models on the cover is late TV presenter Paula Yates.
