Description

Mason Williams' First Album "Folk Music as Heard At The Gourd" 1960 Oklahoma City. I talked to one of the Gourd band members, Steve Brainard (banjo & guitar), now in Guthrie, Oklahoma about this album. His memory was a bit fuzzy but he thought that there were only 500 to 1000 of these discs pressed which makes it pretty scarce indeed. The album was recorded at a night club called the Gourd in Oklahoma City in 1960 which makes it 61 years old. Both the disc and cover are in very nice condition. You may have to wait a long time to see another one of these on ebay.
