Description
One of the great audiophile demo records. Louis Fremaux conducts the City of Birmingham Orchestra in music of Massenet. In cludes the ballet music from Le Cid, the Scenes Pittoresques, and The Last Sleep of the Virgin. Stunning sonics, one of the best orchestral recordings ever made.
A longtim resident of The Absolute Sound Super Disc List, this is the edition listed there, EMI/Greensleeve ESD 7040.
