Description
These were made in the USA I think, but were made for the Ecuador market. Not loads are made though. They are made thicker, because in those days most people, and still today have the old fashioned type record players in that country.
Over the years I have met a lot of Madonna record collectors, but not another person who owns this version. Not in England or Europe.
It does have wear, and minor scratches, but they are very hardy. So the needle plays right over them. Played it today, still sounds good. Their records in them days never had proper covers, but I have it's original plastic sleeve still, that I bought it in. Which as a black, white, and red pattern on it.
A friend of mine years ago, who lives in South America, offered a DJ twenty US dollars for it. Though he refused to sell. So he offered 30 US dollars for it, and still matey refused to sell it to him. So he rang me up, and asked what I would pay. So I said give him 50 US dollars for it, and he finally excepeted it.
I found out later I had given him nearly a weeks wages in them days. Good luck to him though. I think we had tracked down the Del boy of Quito.
