A great copy of this very scarce debut 1965 single from Melbourne beat-pop outfit Max Hamilton & The Impacts whose line-up included legendary Aztecs drummer Gil Matthews who also had varying degrees of success with The Elks ; The Clefs Mondo Rock and Cybotron.
The Impacts released 3 singles in 1965/66 though some web sites even don’t have this 1st effort listed. The A-side is a standard cover of the Little Richard classic (and later revived by Matthews when with The Aztecs) whilst the B-side is an excellent sounding mod-beat number typical of the mid-60’s scene.
CONDITION :
Vinyl : a strong VG +, perhaps an EX playback-wise. Not overly played by any stretch. Some very light marks both sides. Plays along great. No pops. No skips. Still plenty of shine both sides and a beaut sound here.
Labels : Clean.
Sleeve : original HMV paper cover in excellent condition.
