Superb copy of May Blitz's first LP on the Vertigo swirl label.

For those of you who may have been watching this item previously and to those people who had already placed a bid on the initial listing, I would like to apologise for removing and relisting the item. However, after reviewing the description and re-examining the record I wanted to ensure that the description below was as accurate as possible.

Firstly, the gatefold sleeve is in excellent condition with only small marks and dis-colouration to the exterior. The spine has very minor rubbing at the corners and the sleeve opens perfectly. There are some very minor marks to the interior of the gatefold; all the images and text are nice and bright.

The vinyl is visually impressive when viewed in the daylight, bright and shiny with nice deep grooves. Side A has one faint hairline scratch approximately 25mm in length across tracks 1 and 2. Side B has 3 fine needle skates across the record and 2 very, very light surface scratches each measuring approx 6mm (1 on track 1 & 1 on track 2), there are also a few faint scuff marks of approximately the same size. When viewing under a halogen lamp, side A has a number of hairlines but nothing of any major significance and I would still grade this as a strong Ex. Side B’s flaws look more pronounced under the halogen lamp, one of the needle skates arcs across the record from 6 O’clock to 3 O’clock, the other two needle skates are approximately 50mm in length at the 3 O’clock position. I must emphasise that these are very fine, but the effect of the halogen lamp makes the flaws appear worse than they actually are. There are some other minor blemishes exposed under the halogen lamp which are not visible in the daylight and as such I will downgrade the visual for side B to VG. I have audio tested this in its entirety with an audio-technica cartridge (which is very unforgiving) and there are no jumps or skips. Side A of the record plays through beautifully with impeccable sound quality and only the lightest of occasional static in very quiet areas and between tracks. Track one Side B, there are some very light background clicks for about 30 revolutions during a guitar rift. The rest of the side plays through beautifully with only very occasional light static in quiet places and between tracks. Overall, the record playback is superb - a very strong EX, however the visual grading is not as flattering on the B side and as such I will downgrade the visual to VG.

The labels are nice and bright with only one minor blemish and some spindle marking.

The record also comes with the original swirl inner which again is in excellent condition, there is some crease marking to the corners of the sleeve and some dis-colouration at the opening where the glue attaches the poly-lining

Overall, despite the flaws mentioned this is still a superb record with strong EX sound quality however I will grade the record as per the visual below.

All postage costs are based on the weight of the record(s) & packaging quoted in the listing. I offer postal discount on multiple purchases and the following should be used as a guideline for calculating the overall cost of shipping. 

    UK         + 0.50 GBP for each additional 12" record  UK        + 0.30 GBP for each additional 7" record
    Europe   + 1.25 GBP for each additional 12" record  Europe  + 0.30 GBP for each additional 7" record
    ROTW    + 2.50 GBP for each additional 12" record  ROTW  + 0.56 GBP for each additional 7" record

Please note the above are approximations based on previous mailings. The final postage cost may be slightly more or less dependent upon the overall weight of the items. In exceptional circumstances i.e. when a record has high value I may request a signed for delivery which will incur a surcharge. N.b. I do not make money from overcharging on shipping costs - the stated price is the cost of the UK Royal Mail service + the cost of record mailers & stiffener. Grading will be based on the following:

Mint    Record is new - I will not grade any record as Mint condition unless it is a new, un-played item.
NM     Record has probably been played, but has been well looked after, sleeve appears new
EX      Record shows signs of being played, sleeve has slight wear
VG     Record has minor surface marks/light scratches, sleeve shows signs of normal wear & tear
Good  Record has mild scratches/surface marks, cover has creases/folds, scuffing, spine split etc.

+/-      will be added to indicate that the record falls somewhere in between the broader grades above

          I will not sell any record falling below a grading of good.

I aim to describe each record's condition as accurately as possible. All record grading will be done via visual inspection and any imperfections will be given in detail and audio tested. I guarantee to accept returned items if you are not happy with the gradings I have given. Occasionally, some imperfections may get overlooked and if for any reason there is a problem with any of the records you have purchased, or items have gone astray in the postal system - please contact me and I will try to rectify the issue as quickly as possible.
