Marking 25 years since the now-legendary show, thisanniversary edition of Mayhem's Live in Leipzigfeatures the original iconic cover artwork from the album's first pressing in 1993 plus liner notes and recollections from band members Hellhammer and Necrobutcher, among others. Mayhem are one of the leaders of the black metal genre and an inspiration formany black metal bands worldwide today. Having existed for 30 years, their often dark and tragic history gives the band unrivaled infamy.

This classic Mayhem title includes a performance from the Leipzig show on November 26, 1990, featuring the seminal line-up of Hellhammer, Necrobutcher, Euronymousand Dead. This is one of very few releases to feature this line-up - vocalist Dead committed suicide the year after the show, and guitarist Euronymous was murdered in 1993 by Burzum'sVarg Vikernes. Contains live renditions of tracks from Deathcrush(1987) such as "Necrolust" and the title track, and the 1995 landmarkDe Mysteriis Dom Sathanas, with songs including "Funeral Fog" and the ultimate black metal classic, "The Freezing Moon."
