Description

About This Record.  See My Photos! This is an original super rare French copy of the first LP by the Mc5 entitled Kick Out the Jams!  Yes, the tan label, not the butterfly label.  The cover and vinyl are censored like all known non-US copies, meaning they do not say the "f" word during the introduction to the "Kick Out the Jams" song.  This was the band that helped instigate if not incite the riots at the 1968 National Democratic Convention in Chicago!

And the sound quality of this French vinyl release is far superior than our domestic release, no surprise.  I'll miss this one.

I am an eBay employee, and eBay policy requires that I inform bidders of this fact, and direct them through this link to the Code I have to abide by as an eBay employee:  http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/everyone-employee.html No, I don't work in the collectibles division or anything, I'm just a regular eBay employee like you and me who lives near San Jose and is a vinyl hound but is required to tell you this.

Cover Condition.  This is a very fragile laminated flipback sleeve cover from France.  Naturally, my cover grading would be the same, even if this was a new iron-clad release in an eraseable cover.  There is a very very small tear in the cover where the LP goes in one inch from the front bottom right corner.  Just a small tear that is NOT noticeable at all.  There is also slight corner wear.

Vinyl Condition.  Looks VG+ because of light paper marks and some light scuffs.  Plays EX to EX+ on my expensive stylus/turntable.

Label Condition.  Near Mint except for spindle hole wear that shows some careful play resulting in the above play and visual grades.

Inner Sleeve.  The original paper inner is included, although this record will come housed in a new rice paper equivalent sleeve because I just cleaned it and played it and if you stick it back into the old sleeve, the old dust attacks the vinyl with even more gusto!

About Me.  I have been a Record Collector for over 35 years.  With two kids in college, I often sell records so I can buy more vinyl or, in this case, pay the last college tuition bills of the year!  99% of what I sell is vinyl; read my Feedback! Common LPs are a waste of your time and mine!    I bought this many years ago during my travels and have kept in well preserved.  This comes in a new rice paper equivalent sleeve, and new 4 mil plastic sleeve.

Shipping and Payment.  PayPal only.  I ship promptly worldwide and do not overcharge for shipping . . . contact me if you paid more than the USPS postage sticker on your package and I’ll happily refund you the difference.  I will ship by any method you want.  But if you do not insure, the record will be shipped at your own risk.  I offer full refund on this record including shipping both ways.  CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS:  Please add sales tax.
