McCarthy were a British indie pop band, formed in Barking, Greater London, England in 1984 by schoolmates Malcolm Eden and Tim Gane with John Williamson and Gary Baker. Lætitia Sadier later joined the band on vocals for their final studio album.
I Am a Wallet is the debut studio album by English indie pop band McCarthy. It was first released in November 1987.
