HISTORY: "Seaside Woman" was the first song Linda McCartney wrote by herself, in response to a lawsuit by Northern Songs and Maclen Music alleging Paul had violated an exclusive rights agreement by claiming to collaborate with Linda on the song "Another Day". The collaboration had the effect of transferring a 50% share of the publishing royalties to his own McCartney Music company. According to a 1974 interview with Linda, she wrote the song during a McCartney family visit to Jamaica in 1971 "when ATV was suing us saying I was incapable of writing, so Paul said, 'Get out and write a song.'" The lawsuit, which alleged that Linda's co-writing credits were inauthentic and that she was not a real songwriter, was "amicably settled," according to an ATV spokesman, in June 1972.

YOU'LL HAVE TROUBLE FINDING THESE IN THIS CONDITION AND NEVER AS A SET OF 3

Vinyl Condition:    EXCELLENT

All have some minor hairlines, but no major scuffs or scratches. All play extremely well throughout without sticks or jumps. All have occasional light crackles / feint clicks especially in the quieter sections. None have any feelable scratches. Very clean labels. The promo has small amount of writing on label.

 Sleeve Condition:   EXCELLENT

Supplied in original sleeves as photographed. Slight creasing and a tear to the cardboard box, (it's nearly 45 years old). Writing on inside top edge of Red Stripes sleeve.

Grading System:  I have used Record Collector magazine set of standards for the condition of second-hand records. I have added a (+) or (-) to my gradings where applicable.

I try to grade all records in accordance with the Rare Record Price Guide (see above). However, if you feel I have graded your record incorrectly please email me ASAP so we can resolve the problem amicably.

RECORD COLLECTOR Grading System

MINT:   The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed should be Mint.  (NOTE: As far as I am concerned, MINT will never apply to second hand vinyl records).

EXCELLENT:   The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD:   The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD:   The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration,etc.

FAIR:   The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR:   The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise,etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD:   The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

Post & Packaging - I recycle all packaging so you will get your goods in recycled packaging / cardboard container. All items over £15 are sent 'Signed For' and I always obtain a 'Certificate of Posting' for cheaper items. All items are securely and properly packaged and vinyl is sent using double corrugated cardboard stiffeners.
