This early UK pressing of his 1970 debut solo album is on the dark green Apple Records label: PCS 7102

The side 1 label bears a genuine 1970 rounded corner 'FACTORY SAMPLE - NOT FOR SALE' sticker.


Matrix numbers: YEX 775-3U & YEX 776-3U

Stamper codes: 1/GT & 1/GRR

Vinyl weight: 143g


Housed in a fully laminated 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed gatefold cover.

Complete with original white 'Patent Nos...' inner-sleeve.

Labels: NEAR MINT

 A clean, unworn set bearing just a couple of well-aimed spindle trails around the side 2 label only.

Visual: Side 1: VERY GOOD  Side 2: EXCELLENT +

Both playing surfaces are clean & glossy and downgraded only due to a couple of long but non-feelable surface lines on side 1.
Side 2 is clean & unmarked.

Audio: EXCELLENT +

This copy comes from the collection of an ex-EMI executive and has only been played a couple of times on high-end equipment. Aside from some regular vinyl background between tracks, there is nothing to fault audibly.

Cover: VERY GOOD

Clean & fully intact with moderate storagewear rubbing to the outer panels and some small spine wrinkles.
The inside of the gatefold is glossy & unworn.
All seams are unstressed & the spine, although compressed, is clean & fully laminated & worded.
