Description of present auction

McCoy TYNER « Today and Tomorrow » IMPULSE A-63 original1964 Mono A great record with beautiful van gelder (on both side) sound, only one short noticeable flaw on side 2 has downgraded it. So, not for maniac collectors but still a great find.  

Side1 : Ex+ (9/10 ), no real flaws to mention with clear audio a very few sporadic background noise always underneath music   

Side2 : VG/Ex+ (6-9/10),  This side has been downgrade because of a lightly feelable mark on track3 (piano trio). This mark is lightly audible for half this track in the middle part. It tics not too loudly but it is present more or less for about 2 mn. The two other tracks are great no real flaws to mention with clear audio a very few sporadic background noise always underneath music. My initial signature on right side of label in pencil paper (removable).

Cover : Ex+ (9/10),  Fully laminated gatefold with superb general display with very few little flaws(see photos), all seams tight and tittle clearly readable on spine. Light sun discoloration on back gatefold near spine, very little BB hole on bottom right through front and back gatefold. Clean white inside gatefold cover. Impulse original inner sleeve included.

My grading scale is simple with letters and figures to improve understanding. I grade each side of the record separately (first side then second side) and in the end the cover. I precise the grading with specific informations for each side and cover.

I do not grade inner sleeve (possible tearing or tape on it). If you’re interested in inner sleeve condition, feel free to ask…

The scale of grading is : VG-(5/10)  VG(6/10)  VG+(7/10)  EX(8/10)  EX+(9/10)

To be more precise

EX+ : a superb record with extremely few light flaws if any, maximum of 10 seconds of repetitive tics per side or less.

EX : a very nice records with few marks, maximum of 30 seconds of repetitive tics per side or less.

VG+ : still a nice record but with a bit more marks with a few lightly feelable, maximum of 1mn30 seconds of repetitive tics per side or less.

VG   : a record with some marks feelable or not, no skips still enjoyable with portions of background tics, maximum of 2 to 3 mn of repetitive tics per side.

VG- : a very used record, not trashed but with numerous feelable marks, still no skips but expect maximum of 5 mn of repetitive tics per side or a bit less.

Very strict regarding collectors should only bid on EX and EX+ records. I didn't have a record cleaning machine and all records could benefit an ultrasonic cleaning. To improve sound, records should also be listened to with a stylus in good shape (less than a year).

Out of Euro(€) zone, International shipment of items may be subject to customs processing and additional charges.

Price (winning bid and shipping) doesn’t include taxes, fees and duties which are responsability of the buyer

Packaging

I do my best to protect records and to avoid damages during shipping as I’m a long time collector by myself. I send LP(s) in inner sleeve, out of cover to prevent splitting during the shipping and with two strong carboard sleeves each side (one up /one down).  I use strong cardboard boxes. 

I’m not responsible in any way, for damages during shipping.

Return :

No return for item under 150€ winning bid, please keep in mind for bidding.

For item over 150€ I accept return under 3 conditions :

Buyer contacts me asking for return within maximum 15 days of receiving the LP.

Buyer sends back with tracking and pay for the return shipping cost that will not be refunded.

I’m not responsible for the damages or loss that could happen during the return. 

Once I received the LP a refund will be made after checking two conditions :

The LP is the same copy that I sent (I mean not replace by another copy !).

The LP is in the same condition I sent it (I mean not with an obvious new damage !).

My refund will include first shipping cost and auction winning bid but will not include customs taxes, fees and duties
