McDonald and Giles Japanese P-8034A Japan LP Vinyl Record Album
This particular edition was pressed 1974 in Japan byWarner Bros.-Pioneer Corporation . This can be seen from how far the copyright credits go around the label and align themselves with the Atlantic logo.
This has been owned by me since 2001. I have played this only twice on a good quality Sony PSx65 turntable which is fitted with an Audio Technica VM540ml and has a Microlinear diamond stylus. I make digital copies of the vinyl to play and then store the vinyl away safely.
The vinyl grades as EXCELLENT. Playback is great with a few minor clicks at the beginning of side 1 and again a few light clicks at the end of side 2. But if you know this album well then you will know that there are many very quiet passages on this album. Thats why i tracked down a Japanese pressing as they are highly praised for the qulity of their super quiet vinyl.
The record has been cleaned on a professional record cleaner (moth mk2) and then placed into new poly lined sleeves which help protect the playing surfaces. This also has a new poly outer sleeve as can be seen in the final photo.
I am really careful with my vinyl - i have been collecting vinyl since 1994. The original inner is also included. There are slight spindle hole marks to the labels as can be seen in the photos.
The sleeve VG+ has wear around the edges but no rips. This does not include the OBI strip but does include the lyric insert and original clear inner sleeve. This would make a great Christmas present for any Psychedelic Rock, Progressive Rock or fans of King Crimson.
