On the PARLOPHONE RECORDS lable cat# PMC 7047 from 1968 in MONO.
It's been well documented that Jimi plays on a few tracks on this record, and perhaps his demand was increasing after The BEATLES and Paul McCartney had witnessed his amazing prowess onstage, even performing #Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' on the eve of its' release! Of course, Roger McGough being Macca's brother may have got him onto the same lable as the Fab Four, vicariously, but this is still a good and atmospheric album of poetry and classic 1960's whimsy.
One forgets to jump to the Hendrix tracks after a few revolutions of these grooves, it has a certain charm that holds you to listen in!
Well, I like it - although I realise the collectibility is due to the guitar virtuoso's presence - where he lets go with some finger-licking flurries to embellish the proceedings nicely.
