We just played the PASS THE GIN side all the way through
on our 78 player, and it sure sounds much better than it LOOKS!
The scratch on side 2 did not make any noticeable sound,
no loud clicking or popping. The whole side plays great
from beginning to end, and the singing and playing are
nice and loud on this recording, so the light hiss and
light bits of crackle are never really noticeable at all,
since the record was mastered "hot".
Also, since it's not made from shellac, the sound hasn't
deteriorated from repeated playing over the years the
way Shellac does.
