Description

Meatloaf SO-407 RSO records release 1973. I have never seen a picture online of the commercial version of this single, as this is. I can only find the promo or blue label. That either means this is a rare record, or no one really cares about it. I guess we are going to find out. It comes in an original label sleeve that has many bends and a couple of small tears. The vinyl would rate a 6. It is a little noisy as you can hear below. It is slightly concave, but barely. There is a slight warp, that most people would not mention, it does not affect play.  
In 1973, the single "More Than You Deserve" (b/w "Presence Of The Lord") was released on Robert Stigwood’s RSO label. The song was taken from Jim Steinman’s musical of the same name, and performed by Meat Loaf, who also played in the musical. THIS IS NOT THE SAME VERSION FROM DEAD RINGER. The B side is a run through the Eric Clapton song, Presence Of The Lord.

From radioswissclassic: He recorded a single of "More Than You Deserve", with a cover of "In the Presence of the Lord" as the B-side. He was only able to save three copies of it, because the record company did not allow its release. With those three copies he released many rare CDs featuring the two songs. He recorded it again (1981) in a slightly rougher voice. The original single came out on RSO SO-407 with some promotional copies bearing both songs, while some were double-A side copies with "More Than You Deserve" in mono and stereo on them.

Please note: The label still has the old Atlantic address of 1841 Broadway, while the blue label versions of this single have the newer, 75 Rockefeller Plaza address. This definitely dates this issue to a 1973 pressing, and not anything pressed after the success of Bat out of Hell.
