Description
The Beatles "Meet The Beatles" 1964 1st-pressing stereo LP, complete L.A. pressing, rare 2-BMI only labels (Side 1 has two BMI's, Side 2 has none), it appears the Side 2 label [CAP 2047.SR2B] was left over (and previously unconfirmed to exist). In Spizer's 2007 Swan Song book, it's existence was confirmed (but undoubtedly quite rare). Of interest, the 2nd label variation was approved by Dave Dexter the last week of 1963 into the first week of January 1964. Put simply, this looks like a transitional pressing with a 2nd L.A. variation Side 1 label, and a 1st L.A. variation Side 2 label...a very early press, matrices end in A5 / A5. One often sees transitional label pressings but not typically on this title. The vinyl is NM / NM- on both sides, the cover is a strong Excellent (see all photos), the matching L.A. inner sleeve is a strong Excellent.
