2 BEATLE RECORD CLUB LPS – MEET THE BEATLES & SOMETHING NEW
FIRST RECORD…
“MEET THE BEATLES” BLACK COLORBAND RECORD CLUB You’re looking at a RARE RECORD CLUB COPY of this historic album by THE BEATLES. According to Stanley Panenka’s great book “INTRODUCING THE BEATLES RECORD PRICE GUIDE,” this RARE pressing in NEAR MINT condition is valued at $1,000.00!…
TITLE: “MEET THE BEATLES” (Capitol Record Club ST 8-2047 - Stereo)
COVER: Rare RECORD CLUB PRESSING with BLACK SLASHES and Factory #16 on back.
LABELS: BLACK COLORBAND RECORD CLUB PRESSING .
ALBUM CONDITIONS
RECORD ALBUM: (VG)
Record: Play tested. No skips. Vinyl looks pretty good. Has numerous minor surface scratches and light pops which do not adversely affect its play.
Labels: Both labels look good with only some minor spindle marks on both sides. (SEE IMAGES.)
Sleeve: Comes in a new generic sleeve.
ALBUM COVER: (VG) This cover is solid and still looks quite good. (SEE IMAGES.)
Front: The front slick still looks really good. It has no ring wear. But it has been “over-taped” along the whole length of the top and bottom seams. (I use the term “over-taped” because the person who did it used 2 inch wide tape instead of the 3/4 inch tape that most of us use.) (SEE IMAGES.)
Back: (#16 near RIAA symbol.) The black and white rear cover also shows no ring wear, but it does show some discoloring, and the other half of that tape. (SEE IMAGES.)
Seams: Both seams, as previously mentioned, have been taped. (SEE IMAGES.)
Spine: The text is still mostly there, but the whole spine looks kind of rough. Both corners have been dinged. (SEE IMAGES.)
SECOND RECORD…
BEATLES “SOMETHING NEW” LIME GREEN RECORD CLUB You’re looking at a really nice copy of this hard to come by RECORD CLUB PRESSING. According to Stanley Panenka’s great book “INTRODUCING THE BEATLES RECORD PRICE GUIDE,” this RARE pressing in NEAR MINT condition is valued at $300.00!…
TITLE: “SOMETHING NEW ” (Capitol Record Club ST 8-2108 – Stereo)
COVER: Rare RECORD CLUB PRESSING with BLACK SLASHES and Factory #16 on back.
LABELS: LIME GREEN RECORD CLUB PRESSING .
ALBUM CONDITIONS
RECORD ALBUM: Looks (VG) Sounds (VG+)
Record: Play tested. No skips. I just finished playing this album, and even on my cheap record player, it still sounds great. It does have a few jacket rubs and some minor surface scratches that produce only the occasional light pop. These audio flaws are minuscule and barely noticeable during play. Both sides still retain some of their original luster. (SEE IMAGES.)
Labels: Both labels still look pretty good with only some minor spindle marks and a bumpy factory mark along the Purple “C” on both sides. (SEE IMAGES.)
Sleeve: Comes in a new generic sleeve.
ALBUM COVER: (VG+) This cover is solid and still looks quite good. (SEE IMAGES.)
Front: Like I said, the front slick looks pretty darn good. It shows just a hint of ring wear and some very light rubbing along the open edge. (That pretty much happens to any older, mostly-black album cover along the open edge.) (SEE IMAGES.)
Back: (#16 near RIAA symbol.) The black and white rear cover shows just a bit of ring wear. There is also some minor discoloring along the edges. (SEE IMAGES.)
Seams: Both seams are nice and solid. There is about a 1/4 inch split just starting at the top of the open end. The bottom of the open end has been taped 1 inch. (SEE IMAGES.)
Spine: All the text is present and clearly legible. The spine does show some aging along with some wrinkles. Both corners have been dinged. (SEE IMAGES.)
NOTE: Record grading is very subjective, so be sure to inspect all the images carefully and decide for yourself. Also be aware that some imperfections that are visible in the images may not be listed in the descriptions. If you have any questions, please contact me before you bid.
