Description
Mega rare Allen Kwela Octet - Allen's Soul Bag 1972 South Africa. Atlantic City. Category number AYL 1014.
Sleeve: VG+ (no delamination, very light ring impression. discolouration to opening edge, no edge wear, very light corner bumps. spine fully legible. At the edge of the back cover there is superficial damage to the paper, where the surface (white part) has been removed by something. Light ring mark to back. No writing.
Vinyl: VG++/VG to VG++
Side one: plays with just a hint of light background noise between tracks and occasionally during quieter parts. However, it is very light and this does not at all detract from the music itself. Visually there is one light scuff from the beginning of track one into track two, but this has no effect on play. Apart from that surface looks EX. Clean labels with no spindle marks.
Side 2: track one plays with a light "tic" at every revolution for just under three minutes. There is a light scuff patch (not feelable) at the beginning of track one, which might be the cause. After this the rest plays VG++ , same as side one. Apart from the aforementioned scuff the surface looks EX. Labels are clean with no spindle marks.
