Description
This is a very, very rare U.K., 1st pressing, top loader( no EMI on label )copy of, 'The Beatles'. Also known by fans as, 'The White Album'. Mono, top loader. This is only the 3284th album pressed( number; 0003284 ). It comes complete with black inner sleeves, photos and poster( although the poster is split into three parts ). There are some odd marks and scratches on the vinyl, but apart from 'Back in the USSR'( skips and jumps)'Honey Pie' and Bungalow Bill( slight skip, once on each track), it plays very well. The cover is in very good condition for it's age( 50 years old! ).Obviously, the real value of this album is in the very low number and without these problems this album would probably be worth well in excess of £2000. This is a rare opportunity to own one of the first ever produced. I'm looking for offers in the region of £350. Basically, I'm selling the very low number. Not bad though, if you've got the time to seek out and replace the records with the correct vinyl in better condition, you could have a very valuable item.
Update. I played the album through on my son's brand new Audio Technica AT-LP60 and Honey pie and Bungalow Bill play fine, but Sexy Sadie skips slightly(?)Back in USSR still bad.
Please do look at all of the photos.
