From the collection of a noted Australian rock’n’roll and entertainment historian comes this extremely RARE psych folk recording. Megan Sue Hicks. Maranatha. Australian pressing. 1972. Warner Bros. WS-2005. Psychedelic folk singer-songwriter on her debut (and final and only) album, backed by the Flying Circus. Record in Very Good condition. Minor scratch on Side One Track One and across Track Three Side Two. Some scuffing. Overall, there’s some noise with pops and crackles in the quieter areas. It could just need a thorough cleaning or it’s not high quality vinyl (it’s pretty thin); I sold another of these a few months back and it was similar in audio quality but, as this was only ever pressed once in Australia, the overall quality is as good as it gets. And, trust me, you’ll be buying it for its rarity rather than any outstanding vocal or songwriting talent exhibited by Ms Hicks. The cover is in Good Plus condition, some rubbing and ring wear and, at one time, there was some dampness on the back cover that has left a water stain and a pinkish blush.
