Description

Mega-rare original UK album by The New Jazz Orchestra "Le Dejeuner Sur L'Herbe"(Verve SVLP 9236) STEREO. Released in 1969, this stunningly-hard-to-find album was directed by the legendary Neil Ardley, and featured many of his compositions. The musicians involved read like a Who's Who of Great British Jazzmen from the 60s!! Henry Lowther, Ian Carr, Michael Gibbs, Dick Heckstall-Smith, Jon Hiseman etc etc.The New Jazz Orchestra was first founded in 1964, and in 1967, Neil Ardley and Jon Hiseman re-formed the group.Hence this album, which is VERY RARE and SOUGHT-AFTER!! The vinyl is in NEAR-MINT CONDITION, and in other's eyes may be MINT!! I want to be cautious with such a rare item!! The Sleeve is EX, but there are a couple of cover creases on the front and rear sleeve. Otherwise, no tears, writing, or any other marks. Nice copy of a HIGHLY-SOUGHT AFTER ALBUM!!
