recorded as mekanik kommando and released in 1989 on their private label rosebud, in an edition of just 500 copies, this record remains one of the finest dutch 80s pop-psych releases ever. the history of this highly collectable lp was slightly troubled by the fact that mekanik kommando split up after the lp was pressed. most copies are therefor stickered with the new name of the band, the use of ashes. ranging from atmospherical instrumentals and fragile love songs to more spaced-out material, incorporating acoustic instruments, electronics and hushed, reverbed vocals, the music has a unique wam character. Note that the seal (the owl label logo) on the inner sleeve is still intact.
